Every little helps. Even if you feel that you can only send us a small amount, please do not hesitate to contact us.
In Rwanda, the Government is working hard to provide 9 years basic education for all children. They are making great progress on this front, but as yet, disabled students who cannot learn in the Public School environment are not catered for. So all schools for disabled students are privately run. All of our money comes from school fees, and donations.
We have various projects in mind at the moment, and if you would like to tell us which one you would like your donation to go to, we can keep you informed of its progress.
Some of the projects you may like to support:
Building new classrooms for the Senior school.
Decorating the older buildings.
Repairs to the roofs - some of which leak.
Replacing old bunk beds.
Buying new mattresses $30 each
Buying mosquito nets for the bunk beds. $10 each
Supporting individual students who are either orphans or whose parents are too poor to pay the termly fees of $100
Buying materials for the workshops
Expanding the school library
Buying educational materials, such as colouring crayons, paints and pencils.
Expanding the cow herd. $550 each
Donation of a goat to each poor family of a deaf child, to help with income generation for the family. $30 per goat
